THA – The Honor Alliance

Housing partnerships that honor service and restore stability for those who served.

Providing Housing Advocacy With Purpose

THA – The Honor Alliance is a nonprofit housing partnership initiative dedicated to expanding safe, stable housing opportunities for veterans and their families experiencing housing instability.

Through collaboration with housing providers, healthcare professionals, legal advocates and community organizations, THA works to identify and prepare residential properties suitable for veteran housing placements and supportive housing programs throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Our approach supports housing stability by connecting our residents with trusted community partners who assist with healthcare access, safety training, legal guidance and other supportive services that help individuals remain successfully housed.

THA supports a Housing First philosophy, recognizing that stable housing provides the foundation for long-term health, employment and financial stability.

Who We Serve

Veterans and families in the Atlanta metro area experiencing housing distress, instability or homelessness — including those transitioning from military service, VA medical care or institutional settings.

• Veterans facing housing insecurity
• Recently discharged service members
• Veterans in VA-referred programs
• Families of veterans in need

Stable Housing+ Education+Resouces=Long-term Stability.

THA – The Honor Alliance is committed to the Housing First philosophy — a nationally recognized, evidence-based approach that prioritizes getting veterans and families into stable housing as quickly as possible, without preconditions.

Rapid Rehousing Partner

Move veterans and families into safe housing environments quickly, reducing time spent in crisis or transitional settings.

Wrap around Services

Connect residents with healthcare, employment support and community resources that reinforce long-term stability.

Individual Hero-Centered Care

Treat every individual as a Hero with unique needs, goals and strengths — not just a placement statistic.

Properties Prepared for Veterans

THA – The Honor Alliance collaborates with property owners and housing providers to increase the number of residential units available for supportive housing placements across the Atlanta metropolitan area.

THA currently maintains residential properties in South Fulton and Atlanta that are actively being prepared for veteran housing placements in partnership with community organizations and the VA. Our growing portfolio is designed to provide veterans with safe, dignified living environments that meet the high standards required for successful long-term housing outcomes.

All THA properties are maintained in full compliance with housing authority safety standards and undergo rigorous inspection requirements to ensure they meet or exceed the benchmarks required for VA-affiliated housing placements, including HUD-VASH program eligibility.

Compliance Standards

All properties maintained to meet housing authority safety standards and inspection requirements.

A Network Built to Support Veterans

THA’s strength lies in its collaborative ecosystem of community professionals who extend our capacity well beyond housing placement alone. Our partnerships ensure that veterans and families receive comprehensive support the moment they enter stable housing.

Healthcare & Wellness

Partnerships with healthcare professionals and wellness support providers ensure veterans have access to physical and mental health resources from day one.

Safety & Training

Licensed CPR training and safety instruction are made available to residents and community partners, promoting a culture of preparedness and care.

Legal & Advocacy

Legal consultation and housing advocacy services help veterans navigate tenant rights, benefits access and any housing-related legal challenges they may face.

Safety & Training

THA's Veteran's Ownership Initiative helps veterans transition from stable housing into homeownership. Through partnerships with housing counselors, lenders and community organizations, veterans are connected to and supported through the process of homeownership using resources such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs VA Home Loan Program.

Housing Plus: A Full Circle of Support

THA's supportive partnership network is designed so that no veteran or family faces their housing journey alone. By integrating wraparound services directly into the housing placement process, we address the full spectrum of needs that influence whether a resident remains successfully housed.

This interconnected model ensures that housing placement is not the end of THA's engagement — it is the beginning of a comprehensive, community-backed journey toward lasting stability.

Our Collaborative Approach

THA is committed to working as a true partner — not just a service provider. We understand that lasting housing stability requires coordinated, trust-based relationships between housing providers, case managers and community services.

When you refer a veteran or family to THA, you gain a collaborative partner who will keep you informed, honor your existing service relationships and work alongside your team to ensure the best possible housing outcome.

All referrals are handled with full confidentiality and respect for each individual's dignity and self-determination.

Why This Work Matters

Veteran homelessness remains a pressing challenge across the United States and Atlanta is no exception. Despite significant national progress, thousands of veterans continue to experience housing instability each year — cycling through transitional programs or living unsheltered in communities across Georgia.

THA – The Honor Alliance addresses this gap by combining dedicated housing inventory with a robust community support network. By partnering with the VA, housing authorities and community nonprofits, THA creates a pipeline of stable placements that give veterans and families the foundation they need to rebuild and thrive.

Our goal is simple: ensure that every veteran in the Atlanta metropolitan area who needs safe, stable housing can access it — and remain successfully housed for years to come.

1

Housing First Priority

Stable housing comes before all — the nationally recognized standard we uphold.

2
