THA follows a structured review process to determine available advocacy support and emergency assistance options.

Intake& 48-Hour Funds Review

Clients complete a short intake form or speak with a counselor. THA conducts an initial review to determine eligibility for emergency financial assistance within 48 hours for qualifying cases.

Document Review & Advocacy Coordination

THA reviews real estate-related documents and coordinates with loss mitigation departments, attorneys and advocacy partners to evaluate available options.

Eligibility Determination

& Assistance

Based on the review, THA determines eligibility for financial assistance, housing referrals or other support resources available to qualifying applicants

Advocacy & Property Transition Support

THA continues advocacy support as needed, helping individuals navigate property stabilization, relocation or the orderly transition or disposition of the property

Eligible Assistance May Support

Mortgage or Tax Lien Assistance

Financial assistance for qualifying property owners addressing past-due mortgage payments, delinquent property taxes or tax lien obligations to help stabilize property ownership.

Relocation Assistance

Support for moving expenses, security deposits, first month’s rent and related relocation costs for individuals or families transitioning to stable housing.

Probate & Legal Document Assistance

Support for probate guidance, legal referrals and document review to assist families navigating inherited property and estate matters.

THA is not a lender. Financial assistance provided through partner funding programs does not require repayment when approved.
